FXExpress Honors Travel Industry Executives for 2026
Five years after establishing its annual Industry Leader Awards, Yardley-based publisher FXExpress Publications has unveiled its 2026 honorees. The selection, spanning aviation, hospitality, and tourism, recognizes individuals whose strategic decisions and leadership have significantly shaped the global travel landscape over the past year.
The editorial team at FXExpress—which manages Global Traveler, Trazee Travel, and WhereverFamily—curated the list through an internal nomination and voting process. This year’s recipients include RwandAir CEO Yvonne Makolo for aviation, Kempinski Hotels CEO Barbara Muckermann for hospitality, and Scenic Group chairman and CEO Glen Moroney for the cruise sector. The awards also recognize Chicago Department of Aviation commissioner Michael McMurray and Malta Tourism Authority CEO Carlo Micallef for their respective contributions to airport and tourism management.
Francis X. Gallagher, publisher and CEO of FXExpress, described the group as a definitive collection of executives driving daily progress in the travel sector. The winners will receive their honors during a ceremony held this evening at The Peninsula Chicago.
