Missouri American Water Opens Annual Firefighter Grant Applications
Fire departments across Missouri can now apply for annual support grants aimed at bolstering local emergency resources. Missouri American Water is accepting requests through August 31 to fund essential gear and training, continuing a long-standing initiative designed to assist the agencies responsible for safeguarding the state's residents and critical infrastructure.
The program invites fire departments and emergency management services operating within the company's designated service territories to seek financial assistance. These funds target specific operational needs, including personal protective equipment, communications technology, and specialized water handling tools. Training materials and firefighting implements are also eligible for coverage under the current cycle.
Rich Svindland, President of Missouri American Water, noted that the initiative remains a core component of the company’s community safety commitment. Eligible organizations must submit their applications online before the end of the month, with final selection notifications scheduled for September. Detailed criteria and submission portals are accessible via the company’s community involvement website.
