Codis Acquires Catalent Nottingham Site to Bolster European Capacity
Codis has finalized its acquisition of Catalent’s Nottingham facility, merging the site’s oral solid dose development and small-scale manufacturing with its own commercial-scale spray drying operations in Haverhill. This consolidation aims to provide a continuous pathway for pharmaceutical companies transitioning from early development to final clinical supply.

The integration brings two decades of formulation expertise into the Codis organization, positioning the company to manage complex bioavailability projects under a single quality system. The Nottingham site complements the ongoing expansion at the Haverhill facility, where a new GEA Pharma-SD® PSD-4 commercial spray dryer is slated for validation in 2027.
CEO Nicolas Fortin noted that the acquisition allows customers to navigate the development lifecycle with greater speed and continuity. By aligning Nottingham’s analytical and clinical supply services with Haverhill’s large-scale output, Codis seeks to offer a low-risk strategy for clients working with poorly soluble molecules. Matthew Streeter, formerly of the Nottingham site, joins the Codis executive team to oversee the expanded service portfolio.
