Graybar Hits Record Financial Highs in Second Quarter
St. Louis-based distributor Graybar posted its most profitable quarter in company history, reporting $3.8 billion in net sales for the second quarter of 2026. This 11.8% year-over-year revenue surge was accompanied by a 14.8% jump in net income, reaching $158.6 million as the firm continues its aggressive expansion.
The distributor’s performance for the first half of the year mirrors this upward trajectory, with total net sales reaching $7.1 billion and income climbing to $300.5 million. Kathleen M. Mazzarella, chairman and CEO, attributed the growth to disciplined execution of long-term strategies and consistent employee commitment. Beyond the balance sheet, the company expanded its footprint in Southern California through the acquisition of American Electric Supply, marking its second deal of the year.
Operational shifts also defined the quarter, with several key appointments announced across senior and district leadership roles. These changes included the promotions of David Bender, Brian Delaney, and Richard Harvey to senior vice president positions. Amid these internal transitions, the company maintained its reputation for operational quality, securing recognition as a 2026 US Best Managed Company and earning a spot on the Top Workplaces USA list for the sixth consecutive year.
