The award celebrates research leaders who demonstrate consistent operational excellence and a commitment to high-quality trial execution. Karin Choquette, AVP of Research Site Operations at SCRI, noted that Sullivan has been instrumental in building trust and elevating standards across the network, effectively bridging the gap between community-based oncology and large-scale scientific innovation.

Since partnering with SCRI in 2024, Virginia Cancer Specialists has expanded its capacity to provide regional patients with access to emerging investigational treatments. Dr. Alex Spira, co-director of the practice’s research program, credited Sullivan’s focus on infrastructure and scientific rigor for the program's recent growth. By streamlining complex trial processes, her work has accelerated the translation of laboratory findings into clinical practice, ensuring that patients in Northern Virginia receive advanced care without traveling outside their community.
