Innesto Partners Launches Sweden’s First Traditional Search Fund

A wave of retiring Nordic business owners facing succession gaps has prompted the launch of Norrsund Investments, Sweden’s first traditional search fund. Backed by Innesto Partners, the firm aims to pair established small and medium-sized enterprises with new leadership to ensure long-term continuity and growth across Scandinavia.

Founders August Svedenstedt and Carl Bergström, childhood friends from Helsingborg, are spearheading the initiative. Svedenstedt brings operational experience from TIER Mobility and AUTO1 Group, while Bergström contributes expertise in management consulting. Their strategy targets profitable private companies generating between €1 million and €5 million in EBITDA, specifically seeking firms with strong margins exceeding 20%.

Unlike private equity firms that often prioritize quick exits, the search fund model focuses on a transition where the entrepreneur assumes a permanent leadership role. This approach appeals to owners who lack family successors and desire a transition that preserves the company’s culture. Over the next two years, the team will scout the Nordic region for businesses that align with their long-term ownership goals. Innesto Partners, which has supported approximately 50 entrepreneurs globally, provides the financial backing necessary to facilitate these acquisitions.
