Erin Gerner Tapped as CFO for BayCare Physician and Ambulatory Division

BayCare has appointed Erin Gerner as vice president and chief financial officer of its physician and ambulatory division, effective August 3. A veteran financial strategist with over two decades of experience, Gerner will report directly to BayCare chief financial officer Janice Polo as she oversees the system's expansive clinical portfolio.

Gerner arrives in Clearwater following an eight-year tenure as CFO of PeaceHealth Ambulatory Services in Vancouver, Washington. During her time there, she managed diverse portfolios including home care, retail pharmacy, and accountable care organizations, while driving margin improvements across multiple service lines. Her background also includes 13 years at INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City, where she ascended from accounting manager to CFO of both the medical group and the system’s acute care facilities.

Janice Polo highlighted Gerner’s collaborative approach and deep expertise in ambulatory care as key assets for the Florida-based health system. As a certified public accountant, Gerner holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University Global. She will now focus on aligning financial strategy with clinical operations to support BayCare’s network of 16 hospitals and extensive regional ambulatory services.
