The certification process required a comprehensive audit of internal systems, expanding upon the existing ISO 9001:2015 framework to include stricter mandates for product safety, risk management, and traceability. The scope of the approval encompasses operations at the company’s Faircrest, Gambrinus, and Harrison plants, where Metallus produces its signature high-performance metal bars and seamless mechanical tubing.

CEO Mike Williams noted that the achievement signals the firm’s readiness to meet the exacting requirements of the world’s most demanding industrial applications. By formalizing these disciplined quality controls, the company aims to accelerate its strategic expansion into high-value aerospace markets, moving beyond its traditional footprint in automotive and energy manufacturing. With roughly 1,850 employees and $1.2 billion in 2025 sales, the firm is positioning this certification as a cornerstone of its long-term supply chain credibility.
