CEO Peter Matt emphasized that the company has spent years refining its business model to focus on early-stage construction infrastructure. By positioning itself as a specialized provider for foundational building phases, the company aims to capitalize on persistent demand for large-scale projects, including highways and industrial facilities.

For fiscal year 2029, CMC projects core EBITDA between $1.65 billion and $1.8 billion, with a target margin of 15% to 16%. The company also anticipates a return on invested capital ranging from 13% to 14.5% and free cash flow of up to $1.525 billion. These targets are supported by an expanded capital allocation framework, headlined by the new $600 million share repurchase authorization. This move brings the total available for buybacks to approximately $717 million, reflecting management's confidence in the company's long-term financial trajectory.
