Forbes Travel Guide Launches Debut and Curated Luxury Collections

Fourteen upcoming Mandarin Oriental properties headline the inaugural Debut collection, as Forbes Travel Guide moves beyond its traditional star-rated portfolio. This expansion introduces two new categories designed to provide travelers and advisors with early access to upcoming luxury openings and destinations currently outside the organization’s independent inspection network.

The new Debut collection offers a window into the industry’s development pipeline, showcasing hotels and cruise lines before their official launch dates. Complementing this, the Curated collection highlights established luxury properties in regions where Forbes Travel Guide does not yet perform its signature anonymous, in-person inspections. Both collections are integrated into Meridian, a platform serving nearly 10,000 luxury travel advisors who curate high-end itineraries for their clients.

CEO Hermann Elger stated that these additions aim to provide trusted recommendations for travelers seeking both iconic stays and emerging hospitality experiences. While these properties do not carry the formal Forbes Travel Guide Star Rating, the organization confirms each entry undergoes a review process to ensure alignment with its luxury standards. To maintain the credibility established over the past 68 years, all profiles within these collections are clearly labeled as sponsored content. Amanda Hyndman, Chief Operating Officer of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, noted that the partnership offers a strategic venue to introduce the brand's forthcoming growth in key global markets.
