Mistral and Uvision Secure $50 Million U.S. Army Munitions Order
The U.S. Army has issued a $50 million delivery order to Mistral Inc. and Uvision, expanding the supply of HERO 120 loitering munition systems. This contract bolsters the military's Lethal Unmanned Systems program, providing tactical formations with advanced precision strike capabilities and additional ancillary equipment for training and readiness.
The HERO 120 systems are manufactured domestically to meet the evolving demands of modern tactical operations. This latest procurement strengthens the ongoing collaboration between Bethesda-based Mistral Inc. and Uvision, the system's design authority. The investment aims to equip soldiers with reliable, combat-proven technology that supports proficiency in precision strikes.
Yoav Banai, Senior Vice President at Mistral Inc., noted that the expansion allows for broader soldier training and increased mission readiness. Jarmin Blanton, Vice President of Business Development at Uvision, reaffirmed the company's commitment to providing a mature, effective system as part of the broader Lethal Unmanned Systems initiative. Mistral, an Ondas company, continues to integrate these systems into U.S. operational use through its long-standing defense contract framework.
