SQAIRZ Taps Industry Veteran Michael Ferlauto to Scale Retail Presence

With two decades of experience scaling footwear giants, Michael Ferlauto joins SQAIRZ as Vice President of Sales to pivot the performance brand from a direct-to-consumer model into a national omnichannel powerhouse. His arrival marks a strategic push to place the company’s biomechanically engineered shoes into major retail and wholesale channels.

Ferlauto brings a track record of rapid commercial expansion, most notably from his time at Skechers, where he helped oversee growth from $150 million to over $8 billion in global revenue. He recently led the transition of footwear startup PSUDO into an omnichannel business, securing more than 175 wholesale accounts and 300 retail locations in under a year. SQAIRZ founder and CEO Bob Winskowicz identified this specific expertise as the catalyst needed to transition the brand from its initial phase of validating patented technology to achieving mass-market availability.

The push into retail follows a period of product diversification for SQAIRZ, which has moved beyond golf into baseball, pickleball, and medical footwear, including securing Medicare reimbursement approval for fall-risk reduction. According to Ferlauto, the company has already secured its first major sporting goods retail chain. He intends to leverage the brand's existing reputation for ground-force transfer and stability to anchor its expansion into international partnerships and dedicated sports-team channels.
