Chicago Rivet & Machine Co. Reports Deepening Second Quarter Losses

A net loss of $989,528 for the second quarter of 2026 marks a significant downturn for Chicago Rivet & Machine Co., as the manufacturer struggles with declining sales and mounting pre-tax deficits compared to the same period last year, according to the company's latest financial disclosure released Tuesday.

The Warrenville-based firm reported net sales of $7,236,625 for the quarter ending June 30, a slight contraction from the $7,298,077 recorded during the second quarter of 2025. This revenue dip exacerbated the company’s bottom line, with pre-tax losses widening to $971,324 from $415,048 in the prior year period.

For the first six months of 2026, the company posted a net loss of $1,351,543, or $1.40 per common share, a stark reversal from the $6,042 net income achieved during the first half of 2025. These figures, which remain subject to year-end audits, reflect persistent operational headwinds for the NYSE American-listed manufacturer.
