Alpha School Launches K-8 Campus in Southlake for 2026 Academic Year

The school, which charges an annual tuition of $40,000, targets families in Southlake, Keller, and Colleyville seeking an alternative to the standard fixed-calendar progression. Instead of moving through material at a class-wide pace, students follow a personalized mastery-based path that adjusts in real time to their individual progress. This approach allows students to skip redundant review while ensuring they do not advance until they have fully grasped fundamental concepts.

Afternoons at the campus shift focus toward life skills, with workshops covering entrepreneurship, public speaking, financial literacy, and leadership. Rather than traditional lecturers, the school employs guides who coach students on goal setting and problem-solving. According to co-founder MacKenzie Price, the expansion is a direct response to a nationwide shift in parent demand for more personalized, engaging learning environments. Enrollment for founding families is currently underway at the school's online portal.
