Meijer to Open Compact Grocery Store in Fishers on September 30
Shoppers in Fishers, Indiana, will soon have a new destination for groceries as Meijer prepares to open its 75,000-square-foot store at 15700 Southeastern Parkway on September 30. This location marks the retailer’s second specialized grocery format in the state, aiming to provide a streamlined experience focused on essentials and fresh goods.

The new facility is designed to offer a more compact layout than the traditional Meijer supercenter, while still housing full-service meat, seafood, deli, and bakery departments. Beyond standard groceries, the store will feature a pharmacy, pet supplies, and health and beauty care sections. Customers will have access to digital tools like Shop & Scan, as well as home delivery and pickup services to facilitate faster shopping trips.
An adjacent Meijer Express fuel station is scheduled to open earlier on September 2, providing commuters with quick access to snacks and beverages. The store will carry the retailer’s exclusive labels, such as the premium Frederik’s by Meijer line and the health-conscious True Goodness brand. As the opening approaches, the company is continuing to recruit for various hourly, part-time, and full-time positions at its online career portal.
This expansion follows a long history for the family-owned retailer, which has operated in Indiana since 1994 and currently employs over 13,000 people across the state. The Fishers site will be the 45th Meijer location in Indiana, further integrating the company into a region where it already maintains partnerships with local institutions like the Indianapolis Colts and various university athletic programs.
