Bluesky adds granular feed controls and thread numbering
Navigating a cluttered feed just became easier on Bluesky, as the platform introduces a tool to mute reposts from specific accounts. This update allows users to curate their experience by silencing individuals who over-share content, ensuring that personal timelines remain focused on original posts rather than endless cycles of amplification.

To activate this filter, visit the profile of the account in question, open the three-dot menu, and select the option to hide their reposts from your feed. This functionality mirrors similar tools found on X, providing a direct remedy for users struggling with aggressive re-sharers.
Beyond feed management, the platform is rolling out a beta feature that automatically appends sequence numbers to threads. This addition aims to improve readability for long-form content, sparing creators the manual effort of labeling posts. Users can enable this feature through the settings menu, a move that brings Bluesky closer to the functional parity already established by Meta’s Threads.
