The 2025 report highlights a pivot toward quantifiable sustainability targets established by the company in 2024. Operational progress includes the widespread deployment of smart home technology across its apartment communities and systematic improvements to boiler systems and building controls to reduce carbon footprints. These initiatives reflect a broader strategy to link environmental stewardship directly with financial performance and climate resilience.

Anne Olson, President and CEO of Centerspace, emphasized that these practices are now woven into the company’s core management of risk and resident experience. Beyond decarbonization, the firm continues to prioritize resource conservation, including waste reduction and water management strategies. As of June 30, 2026, the company operates 12,090 homes across seven states, ranging from Colorado to North Dakota. The firm’s workplace culture was recently recognized with top honors from USA Today and the Minnesota Star Tribune, marking its seventh consecutive year of local recognition.
