Philippines Launches GOLAMAN App to Streamline Golf Tourism
With the official rollout of the GOLAMAN booking platform scheduled for September 15, 2026, the Philippines is digitizing access to its premier golf courses. The initiative targets international markets in South Korea, Japan, and beyond, aiming to bridge the gap between world-class sports facilities and global travelers.
Developed by Philippine Golf Resort Reservations in collaboration with the Philippine Sports Commission and the National Golf Association, the app centralizes tee-time bookings for 79 courses across regions including Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Tourism Promotions Board Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles noted that the project is designed to integrate golf into broader travel offerings, benefiting local tour operators and tourism businesses.
Beyond convenience for visitors, the platform includes a social mandate. PGRR has committed a portion of booking proceeds to fund grassroots training programs for young Filipino athletes, linking tourism revenue directly to sports development. The Tourism Promotions Board intends to leverage its international network and digital platforms to promote the app, positioning the nation as a competitive destination for high-value sports tourism. The app is currently available for download via the Google Play Store.
