Kiddie Academy CEO Casey Miller Joins Johns Hopkins Children's Board

Miller’s appointment reflects an ongoing collaboration aimed at expanding pediatric care resources across the region. Beyond the board seat, Kiddie Academy corporate staff have pledged to support the hospital through year-round volunteer initiatives. Dr. Brenda Banwell, co-director of the children’s center, noted that Miller’s involvement brings a unique perspective to the board as the institution seeks to broaden its community impact.

For its part, Kiddie Academy frames the partnership as an extension of its internal character education curriculum, which emphasizes community service. Since its founding in 1981, the Maryland-based franchise system has grown to include more than 375 locations nationwide. The Johns Hopkins Children's Center, a major pediatric hub, currently manages roughly 65,000 patient visits annually, balancing specialized clinical treatment with research and training for pediatric medical professionals.
