Dave's Killer Bread Revives Pumpkin Spice Bagels After Seven-Year Hiatus
After a seven-year absence, Dave's Killer Bread is returning its Pumpkin Spice Madness bagels to grocery shelves nationwide. The Milwaukie-based brand aims to capture the seasonal market by blending traditional autumn spices with its signature organic, whole-grain profile, positioning the product as a bridge between indulgence and nutritional density.

The seasonal offering features a blend of brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, delivering 10 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber per bagel. Cristina Watson, senior director of brand management, noted that the return of this specific flavor was driven by sustained consumer demand from the brand's core audience, affectionately known as "BreadHeads."
Company research suggests that while 54% of consumers prioritize taste over nutrition when choosing breakfast items, the new bagels intend to satisfy both metrics. With a price point starting at $6.49 for a five-pack, the limited-edition run will remain available at participating retailers through November. This release follows the company’s recent expansion into the snack category with its Plain Awesome and Epic Everything mini bagels, further diversifying a portfolio that first launched at the Portland Farmers Market in 2005.
