Portage Point Partners Climbs to No. 880 on 2026 Inc. 5000 List

A 1,000-spot jump in a single year defines the latest milestone for Chicago-based Portage Point Partners. The advisory firm secured the 880th position on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list, marking six consecutive years of recognition fueled by a three-year revenue growth rate of nearly 400 percent.

This rapid ascent places the middle-market firm within the top 20 percent of independent companies nationwide. The ranking, which evaluates revenue growth from 2022 to 2025, highlights the firm's expansion in advisory, interim management, and investment banking services. Founder and CEO Matthew Ray credited the result to the firm's focus on providing large-scale analytical capabilities to mid-sized stakeholders, supported by a cross-functional platform designed to handle complex restructuring and operational turnarounds.

The firm's growth trajectory has attracted significant external backing, including two strategic minority investments from New Mountain Capital, a firm managing approximately $60 billion in assets, in 2024 and 2026. As Portage Point continues to scale its operations, it remains one of the few organizations to maintain a consistent presence on the Inc. 5000 roster over the past half-decade.
