LexisNexis Secures $218 Million Contract to Modernize Login.gov
The U.S. General Services Administration has tapped LexisNexis Risk Solutions to overhaul identity verification for Login.gov, awarding contracts totaling $218 million. The deal aims to fortify the federal government’s primary digital gateway by deploying advanced biometric authentication and fraud detection tools to secure access to essential public services for millions.

The agreement, finalized on May 1, 2026, consolidates three functional areas of remote identity proofing under a single provider. A $55 million portion of the award focuses on document validation and biometric checks, while a separate $163 million contract covers identity resolution, behavioral intelligence, and fraud prevention measures. By integrating these systems, the GSA intends to balance rigorous security requirements with the need for user accessibility.
Haywood Talcove, CEO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions Government, noted that identity remains the cornerstone of digital-first public engagement. As federal agencies transition more benefit programs online, the challenge lies in thwarting sophisticated cyber threats without creating barriers for legitimate users. This partnership is designed to bolster program integrity and ensure that digital interactions with government entities remain both resilient and reliable.
