Nine Minds Launches Self-Hosted AlgaPSA Appliance via Bootable ISO
Managed service providers can now bypass complex infrastructure setups by deploying the AlgaPSA platform through a single bootable ISO. Clearwater-based Nine Minds released the appliance to provide firms with full local control over their ticketing, project management, and billing data without the overhead typical of self-hosted enterprise software stacks.

The appliance automates the installation of the operating system, database, and core services, allowing MSPs to run the PSA on their own hardware or virtual machines. According to CEO Robert Isaacs, the tool emerged from demand for data sovereignty, attracting over one hundred early adopters seeking an alternative to vendor-managed cloud deployments. The software includes a free Essentials tier, while users can unlock the Pro version directly within the application for $14.99 per user per month.
This upgrade path enables access to advanced features such as AI capabilities, workflow automation, and single sign-on, alongside integrations with platforms like NinjaOne, Huntress, and QuickBooks. For teams requiring deeper customization, the company maintains its open-source code on GitHub, though the new ISO provides a streamlined entry point for those lacking extensive infrastructure expertise. Users can also opt for a fully managed hosted service if they prefer to delegate maintenance to Nine Minds.
