Meta Brings Threads to Quest Headsets
Stepping further into the virtual landscape, Meta released a dedicated Threads application for its Quest headsets on Tuesday. This expansion follows the platform’s recent integration into Ray-Ban AR glasses and arrives as the social network reports a milestone of 500 million monthly active users worldwide.

The native application allows users to navigate core platform features without removing their headsets. Within the virtual environment, people can browse feeds, compose posts, interact through likes and replies, search for content, and view videos. Meta intends the tool to bridge the gap between immersive gaming and real-time social commentary, suggesting users might track show discussions or check updates between tasks.
Interested users can now download the software directly from the Meta Quest store. This move underscores the company's broader strategy to weave its social ecosystem into its hardware lineup, transforming isolated VR sessions into more connected, conversational experiences.
