Rob Gronkowski Upgrades New England Home With Custom Outdoor Kitchen
Looking to streamline his backyard entertaining, Rob Gronkowski and Camille Kostek have installed a permanent outdoor kitchen at their New England property. Seeking a low-maintenance alternative to portable grills and coolers, the couple utilized virtual design consultations to build a durable, four-season cooking space in just a few hours.

The project, executed by New Hampshire-based RTA Outdoor Living, serves as an extension of the couple's recent interior renovations. By opting for a virtual design process, Kostek was able to preview the layout and finishes through 3D visualization, ensuring the outdoor setup matched the aesthetic of the main house. The final design features bright white plank-style exteriors paired with Thunder White granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The installation replaces a scattered collection of temporary equipment with a functional galley layout. The configuration includes two 12-foot islands—one housing a 42-inch Coyote grill and a 30-inch flat-top griddle, and the other dedicated to serving and storage—alongside a separate station for a hybrid pizza oven. Beyond the added cooking capacity, the kitchen includes built-in refrigeration and a pull-out ice chest to accommodate large family gatherings.
For Gronkowski, durability was a primary requirement given the harsh New England climate. The structure is built to withstand snow, rain, and sleet, eliminating the need for seasonal storage or frequent replacements. James King, vice president of design at RTA, noted that the project demonstrates how homeowners can integrate high-level functionality into a backyard without the complexity of traditional construction. The couple now uses the space for everything from casual meals to hosting guests, marking the first phase of an ongoing backyard transformation.
