Nubia Launches Neo 5 Max as a Hybrid PadPhone Gaming Hub

ZTE-owned brand Nubia is positioning the Neo 5 Max as a versatile personal hub, emphasizing an expansive 1.5K screen that offers 27% more visible area than its predecessor. To maintain gaming performance, the device utilizes a 30,000mm² cooling system, which employs a dual-layer vapor chamber to dissipate heat more efficiently during extended sessions. The hardware is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset and a 7,100mAh dual-cell battery, featuring a bypass charging mode that allows the phone to draw power directly to sustain performance without overheating the battery.

Control ergonomics remain a primary focus, with the integration of Neo Triggers 5.0, offering a 990Hz sampling rate to reduce input latency to 4.7ms. The design specifically accommodates a C-grip holding style, widening key spacing to improve precision in competitive FPS titles. Beyond gaming, the device includes adaptive software modes, such as an E-Ink setting for reading and split-screen capabilities for multitasking. Initially launching in Southeast Asia, the Neo 5 Max comes in three colorways—Shadow Black, Titanium Gold, and Cyber Silver—with storage options reaching 512GB.
