Epson Inkjet Printers Secure Dual Platinum Honors from Spaces4Learning
Epson America has secured two top-tier accolades in the 2026 Spaces4Learning New Product Awards, with the company’s inkjet technology earning Platinum recognition for its impact across K-12 and higher education sectors. The awards highlight the manufacturer's efforts to balance high-performance output with sustainable, low-maintenance hardware for modern schools.
The WorkForce Pro EM-C800 claimed the top spot in the Higher Ed Technology category, while the WorkForce Enterprise AM-C550z took the lead in the K-12 printing segment. Both systems utilize PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology, a design choice intended to reduce the administrative burden on school IT teams by minimizing mechanical interventions and energy consumption.
Koji Nawata, group product manager for Epson America, noted that the company aims to help educational institutions future-proof their print environments. By reducing the time required for troubleshooting, the goal is to shift resources back toward student success. The EM-C800 supports high-volume needs with a replaceable ink pack system capable of printing up to 50,000 black pages, while the AM-C550z stands out for its efficiency, boasting power consumption up to 60 percent lower than comparable laser-based office printers.
