Amped Fitness to Launch First Ohio Location in Powell
Travis LaBazzo, CEO of Amped Fitness, is bringing his brand to Ohio for the first time, marking a personal milestone in the state where he first discovered his passion for the industry. The upcoming Powell facility aims to move beyond traditional gym models by offering eight distinct, emotion-themed training environments.
The new site in Powell will introduce the brand's Amped Universe concept, which integrates strength training, reformer pilates, recovery zones, and entertainment under a single membership. By consolidating services that are typically siloed into boutique studios, the company intends to offer a more varied atmosphere for its members. The facility will feature specialized equipment, including pendulum squats and vertical leg presses, alongside unconventional spaces like a movie-equipped cardio area and dedicated rooms for podcasting or virtual meetings.
Eight thematic zones define the user experience, ranging from the performance-focused Amped Arena to the mindfulness-oriented Lunar Escape and the recovery-centered Azura Cove. CEO Travis LaBazzo emphasized that the expansion is designed to accommodate everyone from serious lifters to casual gym-goers. While specific construction timelines and membership pricing remain forthcoming, the company plans to release details on founding memberships and local hiring in the coming months.
