Privacy Bee Acquires EraseMe.app to Expand Data Removal Capabilities
Atlanta-based Privacy Bee has acquired personal data removal service EraseMe.app, integrating its proprietary technology to bolster automated protection for consumers. The move follows a landmark August 2026 assessment by PCMag, which named Privacy Bee the first data removal service to earn a perfect five-out-of-five rating.

The acquisition transitions EraseMe.app’s existing user base into the broader Privacy Bee ecosystem, granting them access to continuous monitoring and a wider scope of data broker coverage. Privacy Bee CEO Harry Maugans indicated that the primary objective is leveraging the specialized tools developed by EraseMe.app to refine how the platform tracks and eliminates digital footprints that frequently reappear on public search sites.
Because data brokers constantly replenish their databases through public filings and marketing lists, Privacy Bee focuses on recurring removal cycles rather than one-time deletions. By incorporating the new technology, the company aims to sharpen its identification of exposed information and improve its management of automated removal requests. Current Privacy Bee subscribers will see no disruption to their service, while EraseMe.app customers will receive direct guidance regarding their account transitions in the coming days.
