Cincinnati Icons UDF and Grippo Foods Launch Fun Food Crunch Ice Cream
Two pillars of Cincinnati’s culinary history are merging their signature styles into a single pint. United Dairy Farmers and Grippo Foods have unveiled Fun Food Crunch, a limited-edition ice cream flavor that blends the snack company’s iconic barbecue spice with the dairy manufacturer’s classic buttered popcorn base.
The new flavor aims to capture a nostalgic, sweet-and-salty profile by incorporating a Bar-B-Q spice-infused caramel swirl alongside crunchy, chocolate-covered pretzels. This collaboration represents a combined legacy of nearly 200 years, uniting two family-owned businesses that have shaped the region's food culture for generations.
Michael Ahmed, CEO of United Dairy Farmers, described the project as a way to honor the playful spirit of both companies. For Grippo Foods, the partnership serves as an entry into the frozen dessert category while maintaining the brand's long-standing identity. Starting the week of August 16, the 16-ounce pints will be available at all 170-plus UDF retail locations and select Cincinnati-area Kroger stores for a limited time.
