Bamboo Insurance Secures Fourth Consecutive Inc. 5000 Ranking
For the fourth year running, Midvale-based Bamboo Insurance has earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. Ranked at No. 348, the firm maintains its growth trajectory by targeting regions with historically limited insurance options and leveraging a tech-forward underwriting model.

The Inc. 5000 ranking evaluates companies based on three-year revenue growth, providing a measure of stability that distinguishes it from annual performance snapshots. For founder and CEO John Chu, the recurring recognition validates the company’s focus on simplifying the insurance experience for homeowners. Since its 2018 entry into the California market, Bamboo has scaled its operations by combining automated underwriting with a partner-first distribution strategy.
Recent expansion efforts have been significant. In July, Bamboo launched the Essential homeowners program to address demand for affordable, core coverage. Simultaneously, the company bolstered its financial footing through a partnership with MS Transverse, securing $150 million in admitted capacity for California. Further scaling its Greenshoots Re sidecar facility to $175 million has allowed the firm to diversify its capacity platform, reinforcing its ability to operate across Texas and other national markets.
