FirstService Residential Takes Over Management of The Sonata
The Sonata, a 12-story luxury condominium in Washington, D.C.’s Mount Vernon Square, has selected FirstService Residential to oversee its property operations. The management firm, which operates throughout North America, intends to apply its hospitality-focused service model to the 75-residence glass-façade building.
Michael Mendillo, president of the company’s East Region, stated that the organization is focusing on providing personalized support to the building’s board and residents. The community features floor-to-ceiling windows and premium amenities, including a fitness center, concierge services, and a rooftop terrace.
Trent Harrison, president of the MidAtlantic division, noted that the firm’s strategy involves proactive financial guidance and onsite staff support to ensure long-term stability for the property. FirstService Residential, a subsidiary of the publicly traded FirstService Corporation, manages a diverse portfolio of residential communities across the United States and Canada, emphasizing amenity activation and technology-driven operations for its clients.
