At its core, the setup uses the LUMIX S1II for its hybrid phase autofocus and image stabilization, connected via HDMI to the LiveU Solo PRO encoder. For more complex, multi-camera needs, the workflow incorporates the compact Panasonic UB-50 box camera linked to a LiveU LU800 unit. According to John Porterfield, founder of Social180 Group, the primary advantage is the ability to navigate dense crowds and capture content without being tethered to a fixed control room.

Broadfield Distributing is now offering these configurations as turnkey bundles to simplify deployment for independent creators and corporate production teams. While the workflow debuted in the high-pressure environment of trade shows, it is intended for a range of applications including live sports, music festivals, and rapid-response news gathering. By combining Panasonic's imaging capabilities with LiveU’s LRT protocol for reliable connectivity, the collaboration seeks to lower the barrier for high-quality, professional-grade live production.
