Since the roundtable’s inception in 2018, VikingCloud has remained a constant presence among the 33 organizations tasked with providing technical and geographical insight to the Council. Michael Aminzade, the company’s VP of Compliance & Risk Services, emphasized that the upcoming two-year cycle represents a critical shift for the industry. The firm intends to leverage its experience managing compliance for 4 million business locations to address the practical challenges of tokenization and emerging computational threats.

Gina Gobeyn, Executive Director of the PCI SSC, noted that the collaboration is essential for the evolution of security standards. The roundtable members are scheduled to meet in Vancouver on September 14, immediately preceding the 2026 North America Community Meeting, to finalize strategic priorities for the term. VikingCloud’s role remains rooted in its history as an early contributor to the standards that eventually formed the foundation of the PCI DSS.
