Semperis Launches 30-City Global Tour for Cyberwar Documentary
After a successful debut at Black Hat USA 2026, the documentary Midnight in the War Room is heading to 30 cities worldwide. Produced by identity-resilience firm Semperis, the film explores the high-stakes reality of modern cyber warfare through the eyes of the defenders tasked with safeguarding critical global infrastructure.
The roadshow, sponsored by AI-powered data security firm Cohesity, kicks off in Frankfurt on September 10 and concludes in Irvine, California, on November 12. Spanning North America, Europe, and Asia, the tour aims to bring the film’s message of cyber resilience directly to the professionals who manage the systems—ranging from power grids to financial networks—that keep society functioning.
Semperis Studios drew upon more than 100 hours of interviews with industry heavyweights to construct the narrative. The film features insights from former U.S. National Cyber Director Chris Inglis, former CIA Director General David Petraeus, and former CISA Director Jen Easterly, alongside technical perspectives from figures like Marcus Hutchins and SolarWinds’ former CISO Tim Brown. Executive producer Thomas LeDuc noted that the project was designed to give defenders a platform to tell their stories on their own terms. Beyond the screenings, the initiative is supported by a coalition of Action Partners, including Women in CyberSecurity, the Cyber Future Foundation, and Hack The Box, to foster a broader conversation on the evolving threat landscape.
