Nightpeak Energy Secures $75 Million Credit Facility for Grid Expansion

The capital injection arrives as Nightpeak scales its portfolio, which currently includes the Saguaro Power project in Henderson, Nevada, and the Bocanova Power 1 and 2 sites in Brazoria County, Texas. By providing essential letter of credit capacity, the facility allows the firm to meet complex interconnection and offtake obligations. It also features a revolving sublimit specifically earmarked for development expenses and general corporate needs.

Nightpeak’s leadership, which claims a track record of developing 18 gigawatts of power projects, views this financing as a strategic bridge to meet the energy requirements of the AI boom and domestic manufacturing reshoring. CFO Michael Laubenthal noted that the firm is moving to capitalize on a fundamental shift in electricity consumption patterns, moving away from decades of stagnation toward rapid, sustained load growth. Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets business structured the deal, with PEI Global Partners acting as the exclusive financial advisor.
