Harris Teeter and Titan Farms Deliver 37,800 Pounds of Peaches

This year, the donation totals 37,800 pounds of fruit, continuing a tradition that began in 2013. Since the program’s inception, Titan Farms has provided an average of 35,000 pounds annually to address regional hunger. Salem Transportation is supporting the logistical effort again this month, providing the necessary services to haul the harvest from South Carolina to the food bank’s distribution network.

Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs for Harris Teeter, noted that consistent access to fresh produce remains a critical challenge for many local families. Chalmers Carr, CEO of Titan Farms, emphasized that the collaboration transforms routine grocery operations into a tangible community resource, ensuring that food banks receive the same quality of fruit found on commercial retail shelves.
