AWE2027 Targets AI Integration for Global Smart Living Expo
Shanghai’s Appliance & Electronics World Expo returns March 17–20, 2027, aiming to transform the smart-living landscape through its new theme, AI+ Beyond Boundaries. Organizers expect 1,200 exhibitors and 280,000 visitors to converge at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, signaling a significant expansion from the previous year’s record-breaking attendance.
The upcoming event scales up its footprint to 150,000 square meters, building on the momentum of AWE2026, which saw international attendance jump by 50%. This iteration focuses on three core initiatives: the AWE Plus Innovation & Technology Zone, a dedicated Startup Zone, and a centralized Launch Area. These spaces aim to bridge the gap between early-stage innovation and commercial application.
Technical exhibits will prioritize embodied intelligence, AI-integrated hardware, and the low-altitude economy. Beyond consumer appliances, the expo features a comprehensive look at the industrial ecosystem, ranging from computing chips and algorithms to energy-transition solutions like solar-plus-storage systems. By integrating global buyers with R&D teams and startup founders, the event functions as an interactive gateway for companies to debut humanoid robots, smart mobility, and advanced health solutions. The focus remains on connecting proprietary technology with practical market opportunities, cementing the expo’s role as a central hub for the global smart-living supply chain.
