Badlands Ranch Donates 650,000 Pounds of Food to Nevada Shelters

The donation involves 23 truckloads of product, featuring the brand's Superfood Complete recipes in chicken, bison, beef, wild fish, turkey, lamb, and venison. Delivered during the SUPERZOO trade show, the food is intended to sustain rescue dogs currently awaiting adoption. Heigl, who established the brand to provide cleaner nutrition for animals, emphasized that high-quality sustenance should be accessible to all dogs, including those in the shelter system.

Apu Mody, CEO of Golden Pet Brands, noted that the partnership with local Nevada rescues ensures the supplies reach organizations providing rehabilitation and support. For Furgotten Friends, which focuses on both rescuing neglected dogs and public education regarding spaying and neutering, the influx of resources allows for a greater reach in their life-saving efforts. This initiative follows the brand's ongoing philanthropic history, which includes over $1 million in contributions to the Jason Heigl Foundation, an organization co-founded by Heigl and her mother in 2008 to combat animal cruelty.
