Six Flags Unveils Record-Breaking Horror Lineup for 2026 Halloween Season
Six Flags Entertainment is set to host North America’s largest Halloween celebration in 2026, anchoring its expanded autumn programming with 11 new haunted mazes inspired by major horror franchises. The company aims to move beyond traditional park attractions by integrating cinematic storytelling from properties like Diablo, Jason Universe, and Final Destination.

The 2026 season marks an aggressive expansion for the amusement giant, which now manages a portfolio of 448 distinct Halloween-themed experiences across its North American parks. Joining the new installations are returning fan-favorites such as The Conjuring Universe, SAW, and The Strangers, creating what the company describes as its most robust collection of licensed intellectual properties to date. According to Kelly Daugherty, Six Flags' director of entertainment, the goal is to transition guests from passive observers to active participants within these iconic horror environments.
Operational changes will support this scale, featuring 196 themed scare zones and nighttime ride experiences that alter park atmospheres after dark. While the primary focus remains on high-intensity horror, the parks will maintain a bifurcated schedule, offering family-friendly daytime activities such as pumpkin-themed events and trick-or-treating before the evening transformations. Access to the new haunted mazes will be managed through a tiered system, including a premium Haunted Attractions Express Pass for priority entry, while Knott's Scary Farm will continue to operate as a separately ticketed experience.
