Las Vegas Raiders Ink Autonomous Ride-Hailing Deal with Waymo
Fans heading to Allegiant Stadium will soon swap traditional rideshares for autonomous vehicles under a multi-year partnership between the Las Vegas Raiders and Waymo. The deal marks the first time an NFL franchise has integrated self-driving technology into its game-day logistics to solve chronic stadium traffic congestion.
The collaboration establishes a dedicated pickup and drop-off zone at Allegiant Stadium, aimed at streamlining arrivals for games and major concerts. Beyond transit, the partnership gamifies the commute by offering Waymo users access to exclusive perks, including field passes, VIP seating upgrades, and the team's "Kickoff Kid" program. Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan positioned the move as a dual play for innovation and safety, emphasizing that autonomous transport provides a reliable designated driver for fans attending high-profile events.
Waymo’s Chief Marketing Officer Suzanne Philion noted that the agreement builds on the company’s existing track record of managing high-volume traffic during large-scale urban gatherings. The organizations also plan to extend the partnership beyond the stadium gates through joint community initiatives aimed at supporting Las Vegas neighborhood programs. Fans can currently register their interest via the Waymo app to secure early access to the autonomous transit service for upcoming stadium events.
