Papa Murphy’s Restores Chunky Italian Sausage to Permanent Menu
Responding to sustained customer requests, Papa Murphy’s Take 'n' Bake Pizza has officially returned its Chunky Italian Sausage to the permanent menu. The relaunch coincides with the debut of the limited-time Grandma’s Pizza, a rectangular, pan-baked pie designed to showcase the returning topping through October 18.
The Grandma’s Pizza features a crispy crust with golden edges, layered with both creamy red sauce and classic marinara, whole-milk mozzarella, and a signature herb and cheese blend. While this specific rectangular offering will cycle out of the menu after mid-October, the sausage itself remains a permanent fixture, available for customization on any of the brand’s existing crusts and recipes starting August 17.
Dallas Massey, senior vice president of marketing, noted that the decision followed consistent feedback from the company’s customer base. The new pizza starts at $14.99 in most markets, with prices adjusted to $15.99 in California and $16.99 in Alaska. Beyond the featured recipe, guests have the option to build their own version of the rectangular pizza with any two toppings for the same price point. The launch targets the upcoming fall season, aiming to provide a high-volume meal option for families navigating school schedules and holiday gatherings.
