Knorr-Bremse Taps Infosys to Overhaul Global IT Infrastructure
Knorr-Bremse AG has launched a long-term strategic partnership with Infosys to modernize its enterprise application landscape. The initiative, central to the manufacturer's Tech4Value program, will deploy AI-led automation across the company's rail and commercial vehicle divisions to sharpen operational resilience and accelerate product innovation cycles.
The collaboration centers on leveraging Infosys Topaz to transition the manufacturer away from traditional managed services toward an agentic AI-driven model. By integrating generative AI into its SAP, data, and Product Lifecycle Management systems, Knorr-Bremse aims to simplify its IT stack while improving service quality for its global workforce. The scope of work encompasses the entire enterprise application ecosystem, targeting faster issue resolution and enhanced engineering collaboration.
Satheeskaran Navaratnam, Chief Digital Officer at Knorr-Bremse, stated that the program is designed to build a technology foundation as reliable as the safety-critical components the company produces for its customers. Jasmeet Singh, EVP at Infosys, noted that the partnership combines deep manufacturing domain expertise with advanced automation to maintain business continuity in a volatile market. The transformation is intended to provide the scalability required for Knorr-Bremse’s continued growth across both its Rail and Commercial Vehicle business units.
