Grounded Lithium Shifts Focus with Saskatchewan Land Acquisition
Grounded Lithium Corp. reported a net comprehensive loss of $132,943 for the second quarter of 2026, even as the Calgary-based developer expanded its footprint in Saskatchewan. The company secured new oil and gas mineral rights, signaling a strategic pivot to diversify its cash flow sources to fund ongoing lithium projects.

The expansion follows a successful bid in a Saskatchewan Crown land sale, where Grounded Lithium acquired territory adjacent to its existing holdings. Management intends to use these new assets to initiate conventional oil drilling, aiming to generate the capital necessary to advance its lithium brine operations near Kindersley. This move serves as a bridge for the firm, which currently manages an asset base of approximately 4.2 million metric tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent resources.
Financial results for the period reflect the company's early-stage development phase. Beyond the reported losses, Grounded Lithium noted a working capital deficit of $114,043 as of June 30, 2026. While the company maintains an ambitious vision for its flagship Kindersley Lithium Project—which reported an after-tax NPV of US$1 billion in previous technical assessments—the current operational strategy prioritizes securing reliable, non-lithium revenue streams to support its transition into a Canadian energy producer.
