HARIBO Launches Balla Bites to Expand Gummi Texture Innovation
Candy consumers seeking novel textures have a new option as HARIBO rolls out Balla Bites and Balla Bites Sour nationwide. The bite-sized treats feature a dual-texture design, combining a chewy exterior with a soft center, marking a departure from the brand’s traditional single-texture gummi offerings.

These new additions to the HARIBO lineup incorporate three distinct fruit flavors into every small, poppable piece. According to Sophia Lewis, Senior Brand Manager at HARIBO of America, the move aims to capture market interest in multisensory snacking. The candies are produced without artificial colors and feature flavor profiles including orange, blackberry, lemon, strawberry, apple, and wild berry.
The launch follows a period of growth for the Rosemont-based company, which recently established its first U.S. retail locations in Woodbury, New York, and Wrentham, Massachusetts. While the company continues to rely on staples like Goldbears and Twin Snakes, the introduction of Balla Bites represents a broader strategy to modernize its portfolio. The products are currently appearing on shelves at select retailers, with wider distribution planned to continue through early 2027.
