Jeremy Crow Named 2026 APTA New York Physical Therapist of the Year
The American Physical Therapy Association’s New York chapter has selected Jeremy Crow, director of residency and fellowship programs at Spear Physical & Occupational Therapy, as its 2026 Physical Therapist of the Year. The honor highlights a decade of work focused on clinical mentorship and advancing rehabilitation standards across the tri-state area.
Since joining Spear in 2015, Crow has been the primary architect behind the firm's nationally recognized clinical education programs. His approach emphasizes evidence-based practice and a culture of mentorship that extends beyond the clinic walls. Lisa Yirce, vice president of operational excellence at Spear, noted that the award reflects the lasting influence Crow has had on both the clinicians he trains and the patients under his care.
Crow’s background bridges elite sports medicine and academic rigor. A board-certified sports clinical specialist, he has provided field-of-play medical support at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games and completed an NFL internship. Currently serving as an associate professor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, he continues to shape accreditation standards for physical therapy residencies nationwide. He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University.
