MassPay Launches Standalone Verification to Curb Payout Failures

One in eight failed payments stems from preventable data errors, costing businesses money and damaging relationships with payees. To address this, Las Vegas-based financial platform MassPay has launched MassPay Validate, a standalone tool allowing companies to verify account status and ownership via a single API call before funds are sent.

The product operates independently of MassPay’s broader payment orchestration services, meaning companies can utilize the verification tool without routing their payout volume through the platform. By confirming account details during vendor onboarding or immediately before a transaction, businesses can mitigate the operational burden of reconciliation and re-processing fees associated with returned payments.

"Every failed payout has a person on the other end of it who did nothing wrong," said Ran Grushkowsky, co-founder and CEO of MassPay. The system provides real-time results, including match status and confidence scores, helping firms flag or block suspicious instructions before they enter the banking network. This capability also assists companies in meeting tightening regulatory standards, such as Nacha’s WEB Debit rule, which mandates pre-send verification for certain U.S. transactions.

MassPay has structured the service under a pay-for-success model, charging only for successful validations with no minimum commitments. Developers can access a self-serve sandbox to test the integration, ensuring the system functions within their existing workflows before finalizing a commercial agreement. This release follows a period of aggressive growth for the company, which recorded a 408% increase in payout volume year-over-year in the second quarter of 2026.
