LumenStim Targets Daily Routines With New Peroxide-Free Whitening System

LumenStim is bringing its phototherapy-inspired background to the oral-care market with a new peroxide-free whitening system. The Pleasanton-based company, which received approval to launch its campaign on Kickstarter, aims to eliminate separate treatment sessions by integrating whitening technology directly into a standard three-minute sonic brushing routine.

The system centers on a sonic toothbrush capable of 42,600 vibrations per minute, paired with a specialized dual-chamber toothpaste. By keeping two photocatalytic components isolated until the moment of brushing, the device aims to trigger a whitening reaction while utilizing nano-hydroxyapatite to support enamel health. The hardware offers four distinct modes—White+, Clean, Strengthen, and Polish—designed to accommodate various oral-care needs within a single, consistent habit.

LumenStim’s entry into this category follows its previous work in light-based beauty technology and medical devices. While the company is currently pursuing global patent protection for its latest innovations, it points to internal studies of its first-generation technology as a proof of concept. In an SGS-monitored report of 14 subjects, 71.4% reported visually whiter teeth after a 21-day routine. The company, formerly known as XJS Science Limited, has a history of commercializing products for brands like SmoothSkin and TriPollar. This new platform represents its move toward developing independent hardware that prioritizes user convenience over complex, multi-step beauty regimens.
