Matan Companies Secures 92,000 Square Feet of Leases in Frederick
Two new long-term industrial leases have reshaped the commercial landscape in Frederick, Maryland, as Matan Companies finalized agreements totaling over 92,000 square feet. The deals highlight a persistent demand for high-end logistics and distribution space within the region, drawing both federal IT integrators and global trading firms to the Mid-Atlantic corridor.
Sterling Computers Corporation has committed to a multi-year lease for 32,000 square feet. The company, which provides hardware and cybersecurity solutions to federal agencies, intends to use the facility to streamline the integration and deployment of its technology services. Colliers facilitated the transaction alongside the property owner.
Simultaneously, Global Sphere Trading, Co. signed a 10-year lease for 60,000 square feet at Wedgewood South, situated at 4510 Buckeystown Pike. Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the agreement. According to Brad Benna, Director of Leasing for Matan Companies, these commitments underscore the area’s appeal as a strategic hub, citing the local workforce and proximity to major transportation routes as primary drivers for the recent influx of industrial tenants.
