Hoymiles Expands Home Energy Storage with HiSwitch and HiBox

The HiSwitch functions as a five-in-one unit, integrating a transfer switch, circuit breaker, meter, bypass switch, and CT into a single device. Designed for DIN-rail mounting within standard distribution boards, it eliminates the need for extensive wall drilling or cable rerouting. With a 100 A maximum bypass current and a capacity for 6,000 switching cycles, the unit supports heavy-duty appliances while providing 6 kA SCCR protection. Its modular design allows technicians to replace the switch independently, reducing after-sales service time by up to 80%.

Complementing the switch, the HiBox serves as a central control hub for expanding energy capacity. It supports the addition of a second inverter as household demands evolve and enables integration with third-party generators and PV inverters without requiring extra metering hardware. Through its Smart Port, the system manages connected loads to maximize clean energy consumption. According to Hoymiles Vice President Guy Rong, these additions aim to simplify the creation of resilient, integrated home energy ecosystems.
